The only problem was that my PC sits on the other side of the room from the TV and HDMI cables are outrageously expensive even for short runs.On some advice from a friend I looked online to see if I could find something reasonable and decided to give this cable a try. For $20 bucks I figured it was worth a shot. I was a little concerned about running the signal over 30 feet but I am extremely pleased with the results. The picture on my TV is just as good as my 20 inch widescreen monitor. I've tested the connection with pictures using Photoshop. I also viewed DVD's and video streamed over the Internet. We have no trouble getting a 1080p 60Hz (1080/60p) picture; no issues with signal quality at all. It's easily a Category 2 cable.I think it's very significant that the HDMI cable runs parallel to a bunch of low voltage wires and a single high voltage one. It's along side the 2 rear speaker wires, and a composite (3 RCA wires)---the low voltage wires. The high voltage (120v) powers the projector and is in a non-shielded PVC conduit that's about 6"-12" away. In any case, I think it speaks to the quality of this HDMI cable.
