The directions that came with the unit were pretty vague in terms of the install. The older model has a link to a video another customer created showing the install steps, which was a little more helpful. In my case there is no easy way to use the dome light adapter, so I cut the wires and used the smallest wire nuts I could purchase from Lowes. Also had to purchase longer screws. I found the easiest way to wire the unit is to disconnect dome light and video wires from the bottom of the DVD player, tie the wires together in this pattern:Black from car with both blacks from the unit (Ground) Brown from car with yellow from unit (Unit Dome Light door switch) Blue from car with both reds from unit (Power for player and lights) Then feed the wire through the mounting plate.
