When I took it out of the box, it felt cheap, cheap, cheap. The buttons make the hollow clicking sound when I press them. And when I turned it on, it made a loud whirring noise. But the worse was the picture quality. It was so poor that I thought something was wrong with the DVD. It was so grainy!! You can actually see the "little" pixel squares. It was so annoying that I had to stop the movie. I never used it again. I can't believe that in this day and age that people would OK the sale of such a poor product. This player is for when we lose electric for over 24 hours as often happens to us. However, I hear very well and this DVD player does not get loud enough. I am going to try it with head phones, that may help. Bought a unit and it borke within 30 days. Been trying to get it repaired now for over 60 days. Panasonic refers me to a local repair center. They tell me panasonic says unit is not cost effective to repair and refund check will be issues. Repair center has not gotten check. I have not gotten check. All I want is a working unit and they refuse to send me one. Warranty states that they will repair or replace unit but they are doing neither.I Have dealt with 4 different supervisors and have spend countless hours on the phone with then trying to come to a resolution. Now I have been referred to their consumer affairs department which can only be reached via snail mail. Buyer definitely beware. If you get a working unit great. If not don't waste your time trying to get it fixed. Fluch is down the toilet and go buy a new one. |
